Events in Glen Rose

Glen Rose may be best known as the Dinosaur Capital of Texas, but the town is just as enamored by music. In fact, many of the events in Glen Rose feature the upbeat rhythms and sharp notes of bluegrass. Along with all the bluegrass, the town is also host to a festival focused on the music of the dulcimer, an uncommon instrument that traces its roots back to the Appalachian Mountains. If you enjoy music, you can't miss one of the many festivals in Glen Rose.

March & April
The Promise of Passover
will be celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord this year with THE PROMISE OF PASSOVER. This presentation is based on the original production that has been running in Glen Rose for 33 years, but for Easter Weekend, we are focusing on Passion Week, and the events that led to the Savior’s ultimate victory over sin and death. Told from the perspective of blind Bartimaeus, the audience will be introduced to the traditions of the Jewish home at Passover in an immersive experience that will take us back to Jerusalem at the time of Christ.
