4 Day Jamboree Celebration
Smithville's signature spring event, anchored at Vernon Richards Riverbend Park along the Colorado River. Four days of live music, food vendors, carnival rides, a parade, and family activities that mark the unofficial start of warm weather in central Texas.

Spring Community-Wide Garage Sales
A semi-annual tradition that turns the entire town into a treasure hunt. Hundreds of households open their garages and yards on the same Saturday. It’s a great excuse to drive the neighborhoods, get a real grassroots experience, and find your weekend's best souvenir.

Annual Smithville Airport Fly-In
A free, family-friendly aviation event at the Smithville Crawford Municipal Airport. Visiting pilots fly in vintage and modern aircraft for magnificent displays. Throw in the food, music, and aviation activities for kids on the ground, and you have yourself a darn good day.

Fall Community-Wide Garage Sales
The second half of Smithville's twice-yearly garage sale tradition. Same format as April: citywide, all-day, ideal for visiting bargain hunters, and a great way to meet the community.

Airing of the Quilts & Tour of Homes
Held the second Saturday of November, this event drapes Main Street with hundreds of handmade quilts hung from storefronts and porches across downtown. Pair the quilt display with a Tour of Homes opening Smithville's historic residences to the public for one day only.

Festival of Lights & Lighted Parade
Smithville's biggest holiday tradition takes over downtown on the first Saturday in December with a lighted parade through Main Street, a tree lighting, live music, food vendors, and one of the largest Christmas displays in Bastrop County. A genuine reason to plan a December trip. Nowhere does Christmas better than small town Texas.
