Cinco de Mayo: Bring culture and traditions to life in the heart of downtown Ennis. This annual celebration includes artists that will have the community dancing and singing. Visitors can also expect ballet folklorico performances, delicious food selections, and unique local artisan vendors.
National Polka Festival: For more than 50 years, the fine folks of Ennis have celebrated their Czech and Slovak heritage at the National Polka Festival. This three-day festival features a parade, dance contest, the 5K or 10K Polkafest Run, a horseshoe tournament, and a Texas-sized serving of tasty Czech food. Nearly 20 polka bands provide the musical backdrop for this can’t-miss annual event.
