BLOOM is a two-week—yes, you read that right—festival that dresses the city in flowers and art to celebrate liveliest of seasons. There are also concerts, guided art and heritage walks, a special gallery exhibition, and pickleball tournaments to bring the community together under the power of the flower.

Winnsboro Festival of Books
As spring comes to a close and temperatures start to warm, it gets to be the time to crack open a cold one. A book, that is! And by cold, we’re referring to the bone-chilling prose of your favorite thriller. Or maybe you’re more into romance or science-fiction? Whichever brand of bookroom, you’ll find your people at the Winnsboro Festival of Books.
It’s a two-day festival that brings together both readers and authors. Expect live readings, book signings, and workshops for aspiring writers.

Winnsboro on Wheels
There may be nothing more quintessentially American than the automobile. In one small package, it’s the freedom to go anywhere at any time. As Springsteen summed it up, “the night’s busting open and these two lanes will take us anywhere.” In August, they can take you to Winnsboro on Wheels.
This August-long appreciation of the motor vehicle brings a huge variety of activities. But the two biggest are the Boxcar Theater, where the community gathers to watch a car-based film, and the Big Wheel Bash, a massive car show. Past shows have featured Model As, emergency vehicles, Earnhardt Jr.’s Harley tribute bike, tractors, and more!

Cowboy Music & Poetry Gathering
From Larry McMurtry and Cormac McCarthy to Billy Joe Shaver and Townes Van Zandt, Texas has a long history of birthing great poets. That tradition is celebrated over two days at the Bowery Stage in Winnsboro. You’ll find cowboy poetry readings, live music, storytelling, and family activities. There’s even a chuck wagon with cowboy favorites like cornbread and cobbler.

Winnsboro Autumn Trails
The longest-running annual event in the city’s history, Winnsboro Autumn Trails fills every weekend of October with trail rides, barrel racing, a livestock show, a golf tournament, arts and crafts, trades days, cook-offs, Bowery street dance, and the largest antique car parade in the Southwest United States.

Winnsboro Art & Wine Festival
If you’re looking for a mother-daughter retreat or a weekend away with friends, circle the Winnsboro Art & Wine Festival. Historic Winnsboro is given a new coat of paint with tents featuring works in the mediums of abstract, pottery, glass, and silk.
