Tomball German Heritage Festival
Put on your lederhosen and head on out to Tomball’s Market Street for this celebration of the heritage of the original German immigrants who settled the area in the 1840’s. Rails & Tails Mudbug Festival
What would May in the Gulf Coast be without a crawfish festival? Tomball’s version includes plenty of live music, delicious food, and fun paired with special events such as eating contests and crawfish racing. Admission to this two-day event is free.

Memorial Day Chili Cook-Off
Chili cooks from all over southeast Texas converge on Tomball for this Chili Appreciation Society International-sanctioned cook-off. Winners of the competition earn points toward competing in the international cook-off in Terlingua later in the year, so the stakes are as high as they can get. Along with the food, the event includes live music, a kid’s zone, and more.

Tomball Honky Tonk Music Festival

Beetles, Brew & Barbecue

Admire more than 150 colorful and vintage Volkswagen Beetles while you savor the combination of tasty craft beer and yummy barbecue served by local eateries. Admission to this one-day event, held at the end of September, is free.

Zomball in Tomball
Get all your trick or treating in early at this annual Halloween event at the Tomball Depot. Activities for the little werewolves and superheroes abound, including games and a giant “trunk or treat.” The one-day festival ends with the screening of a spooky movie on a giant inflatable screen at dark.

Freight Train Food Truck Festival

The Freight Train Food Truck Festival brings more than 30 rolling gourmet kitchens to Tomball’s historic downtown depot for an afternoon of great eats, classic rock, and more.  Admission is free.

The Holiday Lamp Post Stroll

Downtown Tomball comes alive at Christmastime as merchants and local organizations decorate more than 60 ornamental lamp posts for the holiday season.  Come stroll “Old Tomball” and check out the many unique shops and restaurants surrounded by lighted symbols of the season.  It’s free!

December

Tomball German Christmas Market
The German Christmas market is a tradition that dates all the way back to the middle ages. That tradition is alive and well in Tomball, which was first settled by immigrants from Germany. Browse the street vendors selling unique German-style Christmas items, arts and crafts, and food. Beer and even mulled wine are available, as is a Kinderfest (kid’s area) that includes carnival rides and a petting zoo. Much of the festivities occur along Tomball’s Main Street
