Junction Disc Golf Sizzler Courses

Ever wanted to pit your disc golf skills against the pros? Or are you looking for a fun way to enjoy the remarkable beauty of the Texas Hill Country? Whether you’re a seasoned player or a novice, you won’t want to miss the Sizzler disc golf tournament in Junction. This disc golf tournament is held throughout the last weekend of July, with champions crowned in open and amateur divisions. If you’re planning on entering, get to know the three courses that the Sizzler is played on below.

Junction Golf Club

Standing alongside a traditional nine-hole golf course, the 18-hole disc golf course meanders through moderately hilly terrain among oaks and pecan trees at the foot of Lovers Leap, a towering limestone bluff that overlooks town. Some holes end near the river, while others culminate with baskets concealed among trees.

Junction City Park

Although Junction City Park’s disc golf course is relatively flat, don’t let that fool you into thinking you’re in for an easy round. Settled on the banks of the South Llano River, the 24-hour course features baskets concealed by large trees, so you’ll need to get your approach to each right to keep your score down.

Kimble County Park

Playing through this 15-hole course is like taking a walk on the wild side. Featuring plenty of trees that you’ll need to work around, the course wanders off the beaten path into the untouched Texas Hill Country. Consider your throws carefully, as each hole will test your technique and accuracy.
