Texas International Fishing Tournament

The Lone Star State’s largest saltwater fishing tournament, the Texas International Fishing Tournament (TIFT), brings upwards of 1,500 anglers of all ages to Port Isabel and South Padre Island to compete in the bay, tarpon, or offshore division.

World Championship Shrimp Cook-Off

Held the first Sunday in November, Port Isabel’s annual shrimp-off sees amateur and pro chefs from around the Rio Grande Valley compete for bragging rights.
