Events in Buda
Buda is the official “Outdoor Capital of Texas,” and locals make the most of their great setting by holding lots of fun events throughout the year. The famous wiener dog races in April are the marquee event that people across the country attend year after year, but the races are just one of many fantastic family events held in Buda. Its summertime festivals are perennial favorites with locals and tourists alike, and their holiday parties are some of the best in the Hill Country. Have a look at some of the top annual events in Buda so you can plan your next trip to this charming town.
April
Buda's Birthday Music Festival
Every spring, Buda throws itself one of the bigger birthday parties in the state. The three-day festival takes over the Buda Amphitheater and downtown, kicking off Friday night with live music and drink specials at venues across Main Street. Saturday brings the main event to the amphitheater stage, and Sunday winds things down with a Blues Brunch: live music, brunch specials, and a relaxed come-and-go pace that feels like a proper sendoff.

October
Buda Arts Festival
What started in 2020 as a one-day painting and music event has grown into a weeklong celebration that pulls the community together through art. Most of the programming is free, with a handful of ticketed experiences scattered across the schedule.
