Fishing at the Texas City Dike

Fishing is a big part of life in Texas City, thanks to the country's largest man-made pier, the Texas City Dike. The 5.3-mile pier extends into Galveston Bay, giving fishing and boating enthusiasts unprecedented access to the bay's crystal waters. There are numerous amenities along the dike, including covered picnic areas, boat launches, portable restrooms, fishing piers, and beaches. As you enter, check out the adjacent park with a large playground, hiking and biking trails, bike rentals, an 18-hole disc golf course, and more.
