The Globe Theatre
The Globe Theatre has been a staple in the small town of Bertram since 1935. Offering live music, cold drinks, two-steppin' and the occasional movie night, this theater has seen countless bands and entertained folks for years! In 2016, after an extensive restoration, it opened its doors once more under new ownership and has been bellowing tunes down Vaughan Street ever since!

Hidden Falls Adventure Park
This premier off-road adventure park brings folks from all over to the Highland Lakes area.  Bring your dirt bike, ATV/UTV or 4x4 and venture up one of its many trails — from the top, you can see 360-degree views of Burnet County. Cabins, RV hookups and campsites adorn the grounds, too, so you and your group are set for a weekend full of fun and adventure! Be sure to check out the Copperhead Creek Shooting Club for a unique experience in gun ranges and skeet shooting.

Inks Lake State Park
Inks Lake State Park is a great park, whether you’ve got just the day or an entire weekend.  Situated on the lake with hiking trails that meander through rock outcrops, lake inlets and native Texas trees, you are in for an adventure! Campsites, cabins and RV sites are strewn throughout the grounds, lots of them offering a beautiful and serene backdrop for a campfire and watching the sunset after a day exploring all this park has to offer!

Krause Springs
This 115-acre property was founded in 1955 and has been part of the Krause family for over 50 years. Longhorn Caverns
Longhorn Caverns was developed back in the 1930s, created by the dissolving and cutting action of an ancient river. After a guided tour, be sure to walk the trails on the park grounds, check out the gemstone mining area for kids and adults alike and admire the "parketecture" that has been around since the 1930s as well. And your trip is complete after you take the winding stairs up to the observation deck, giving you a 360-degree view of the Hill Country — breathtaking, to say the least.

Spider Mountain Bike Park
The one and only “ski” lift in Texas — right here in the Highland Lakes of Texas! The park's year-round chairlift takes you to the top of Spider Mountain, where you can expect breathtaking views of Lake Buchanan and then take off on foot or bike down one of the many different leveled trails. An adrenaline junkie's dream, these bike trails are for all expertise and skill level. End the day by cooling off in the lake and staying at a nearby cabin at Thunderbird Lodge.

Vanishing Texas River Cruise
If you love the nature and wildlife that abounds near water, then be sure to check out Vanishing Texas River Cruises on Lake Buchanan. Operating since 1981, these boats hosts a gaggle of people throughout the year who are eager to see bald eagles, whooping cranes and more. The cruise takes you north on Lake Buchanan to old towns that have been lost to the river and the tour guides tell of the Native American and outlaw days that took place right next to the magnificent waterfalls you pass by, too.
