Bluebonnet Airshow
Catch aerial excitement as World War II planes deliver daring dips and feats at the annual Bluebonnet Airshow held at the Burnet Airport. Put on by the Highland Lakes Squadron Commemorative Air Force, the show includes both high-flying entertainment and on-the-ground food and fun.

Bluebonnet Festival
Held every second weekend of April in Burnet, the Bluebonnet Capital of Texas, the Bluebonnet Festival attracts 35,000 visitors for homespun memory making. Along with fabulous spring weather and of course, bluebonnets in bloom, the festival includes parades (even one for pets!), live music, children’s activities, carnival rides, great food, and arts and crafts.

LakeFest
Witness the spectacular kickoff to the Southern Drag Boat Association’s annual season at Marble Falls LakeFest. Watch from Lakeside Park as some of the fastest boats in the land vie for top honors in a series of thrilling boat drag races. Food and beverage tents are available onsite. The day before the races, fans can meet their favorite drivers and see boats up close.

Kingsland Aquaboom

Oatmeal Festival
For nearly a half century, this fun-filled festival takes place over Labor Day weekend in the towns of Bertram and Oatmeal. Take in a traditional parade, pet parade, fun run, oatmeal baking contest, barbecue fundraiser, and live music. The community event supports academic scholarships for local youth.

Halloween on Vaughan Street
Have a safe and festive Halloween in downtown Bertram as Vaughan Street closes to moving traffic and opens up for kids to roam freely, play games, collect treats, and show off their costumes. Once their bags are filled with sweets and treats, they compete for top honors in the annual costume contest. The event is hosted by the Bertram Chamber of Commerce.
