Kleberg Kenedy County Jr. Livestock Show
Since 1951 KKJLS has provided weeks of entertainment while also educating the area’s youth. The Kleberg Kenedy County Jr. Livestock show typically kicks off with a Carnival at the JK Northway Expo Center and continues with exhibits, showmanship, homemaking products, and of course plenty of livestock including beef, swine, goats, lambs, and cattle. The show wraps up with an auction open to the public and typically includes a country concert for all to enjoy!

Kingsville Symphony Orchestra Spring Welcome

Texas A&M University-Kingsville Jazz Fest
Two-day Festival occurs on the last Friday and Saturday of March each year.  The TAMUK Jazz Festival originated in 1966.  It’s now held in the new music building and Jones Auditorium.  Come on out to enjoy performances by a jazz guest artist, TAMUK Jazz Ensembles, and High School/Middle School Ensembles.  All events are free to the public except the final concert on Saturday night.

Browse University Boulevard for fundraising by a variety of Student Organizations that will be fundraising and selling food, drinks, and games!

Wings Over South Texas Air Show – Kingsville loves jet noise, and we love hosting the Blue Angels and dozens of other performers every even year for the Wings Over South Texas Air Show.  Come early to get up close and personal meet and greet opportunities with the performers during the Meet the Blues event that also gives visitors an opportunity to experience a Taste of Kingsville and free food samplings.  This is a family-friendly event that gives the little ones the chance to earn their wings during flight school at the event.  

Festival de la Lotería
Enjoy fun, fashion, and your chance to win BIG prizes during this downtown festival.  From leather goods to Apple Watches and big-screen TVs, the prizes during this event that features three rounds of hour-long Lotería games simply do not disappoint.  Browse various vendors, get a glimpse at the latest fashion trends during our Spring Fashion Show and check out a variety of entries in the Texas Rides Car Show. 

TAMUK Annual Jazz Blast
Outdoor Jazz Concert occurs on the last Saturday of April each year.  The Jazz Blast is held on the South Lawn of the new music building and started back in 2005.  The event features performances by all TAMUK Jazz Ensembles.  Free Admission.

Independence Day Birthday Bash
Head downtown for a free Independence Day Concert!  Bring your lawn chairs and visit with vendors while enjoying Tejano music acts like Elida Reyna Y Avante, Las Fenix, Lucky Joe, La Calma, and more.  Free admission.  VIP seating is available. www.eventmania.com

4th of July Pet, Bike and People Parade & Kingsville and NAS-Kingsville Birthday Bash
Join us downtown for a festive parade and costume contest.  Downtown businesses celebrate our freedom fest and city and NAS-Kingsville birthdays with a window decorating contest that helps infuse our Main Street District with Red, White, and Blue.  All parade entries are free.  Prizes are awarded in a number of categories.  Join us after the parade at the Maggie Salinas Pavilion for free hot dogs, cake, and an awards ceremony!


NAS Kingsville 4th of July Concert and Fireworks
MWR eligible patrons and MWR guest card holders are invited onto Naval Air Station Kingsville for a free concert and fireworks show celebrating Independence Day and NAS-Kingsville’s birthday! 


Kingsville Symphony Orchestra Patriotic Concert
Since 2006, the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra has continually featured two classical and two pops concerts annually, in July experience a patriotic tribute. By blending the accomplished talents of professionally seasoned symphony musicians with those of outstanding Texas A&M University-Kingsville music students, the symphony gives life to an array of inspiring and exceptionally soul-penetrating performances.

South Texas Show Series
The South Texas Show Series hosts three all-species shows each year with four rings for each species at each of the events in September, November, and December.  This show series is one of the premier livestock show events in the state of Texas and it began in 2007.  The South Texas Show Series has shown a dedication to the livestock show kids of Texas that few can equal much less surpass. 


TAMUK Family Weekend
One of the university’s most anticipated Fall events is held to allow the parents of our undergraduate students an opportunity to share their son or daughter's campus experience while helping them to become more familiar with Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Meetings with University administrators and staff, community experience opportunities, as well as a Saturday night Javelina football game are just a few of the many exciting events planned for this special weekend.

Butterfly Blitz
Kingsville is a member of Monarch City, USA and we celebrate each year with a series of events called the Kingsville Butterfly Blitz.  Festivities include limited edition Winged Wonder Tours on King Ranch, a Monarch 5k fun run for the family, a festival with demonstrations on everything from pollinator gardening to photographing nature, and even several demonstrations on how to tag and release Monarch Butterflies.  Get up close and personal with beautiful butterflies and stay through sunset to enjoy the pollinators of the night exhibit.


TAMUK Homecoming

Homecoming week allows current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the University campus to engage in rich tradition and reflect on the founding of our institution in a week-long celebration. Homecoming also encourages and creates opportunities to engage and interact with alumni who have a shared experience and can tell stories about their time as Javelinas on campus. Homecoming week will be filled with lots of fun from the Homecoming Kickoff, to the highly anticipated Fall Carnival to the Javelina football game! Once a Javelina; Always a Javelina! We look forward to celebrating with you!

TAMUK Jazz Bash
Evening Jazz Concert occurs on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving each year.  The Jazz Bash originated in 1984 and features performances by TAMUK Jazz Ensembles.  It’s held in the new music building Performance Hall.  Admission is Free. 

Ranch Hand Weekend
King Ranch® Ranch Hand Breakfast – Since 1990, the Annual Ranch Hand Breakfast has provided a special opportunity for visitors to drive onto this legendary Texas Ranch and enjoy a slice of the Cowboy way of life. The event features an authentic, hearty cowboy breakfast cooked and served outdoors on the historic King Ranch. Team roping and old-time cow camp cooking demonstrations are a part of the activities, along with live music and storytelling.  The Ranch Hand Breakfast is always held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Ranch Hand Weekend – In partnership with the Ranch Hand Breakfast, the Kingsville Visitors Center developed a series of events to surround the popular King Ranch festivities. Events include a Ranch Hand Weekend Wine Walk Holiday Sip & Shop and Tree Lighting on Friday night, a Ranch Hand Weekend Festival Saturday after breakfast, and the Ranch Hand Weekend Country Concert Saturday night. Veterans Day Parade
Join us in historic downtown Kingsville as we celebrate all who have served our country.  Parade participants will make their way from the Kleberg County Courthouse to the Maggie Salinas Pavilion along a route lined with American Flags. 

Big House Burgers Bash and Siggno Team Roping
Since 2012 Big House Burgers has brought top-notch entertainment and a team roping event to Kingsville each Fall.  Latin GRAMMY-winning artist Grupo Siggno headlines the concert each year and Siggno’s Team Roping Event gives competitors the opportunity to head home with BIG PRIZES.

Wine Walk Holiday Sip & Shop and La Posada de Kingsville Parade
This illuminated night parade is 32 years strong in Kingsville.  The traditional kick-off to the Christmas Season started in 1989 and by 2021 the event had grown in popularity so much so that it drew more than 10 thousand onlookers!  Arrive early to participate in the Holiday Wine Walk ahead of the annual La Posada de Kingsville parade.
